Rohtak, February 17, 2026: Reiterating the district administration’s firm commitment to good governance, Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta said that ensuring easy access to revenue services for citizens remains a top administrative priority. He directed revenue officers to provide services in a time-bound, transparent, and hassle-free manner, keeping the convenience of citizens at the forefront.
The Deputy Commissioner was issuing directions at the local camp office ahead of a video conferencing–based review meeting of the Revenue Department, chaired by Dr. Sumita Mishra, Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Department. During the VC, the Financial Commissioner reviewed the implementation status of various revenue-related matters and issued necessary instructions.
Prior to the VC, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review meeting with Sub-Divisional Officers, the District Revenue Officer, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars, and issued clear directions for improving service delivery and reducing pendency.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of pending mutations (intkal), demarcation (nishandehi), tatima cutting, AgriStack, khana kasht, and deed registration, and directed officers to ensure strict adherence to timelines. Reports were sought from concerned Tehsildars regarding tatima cutting and pending mutations, with instructions for early disposal and systematic follow-up. Tehsil-wise directions were also issued regarding jamabandi updation.
He further reviewed partition, demarcation, and other cases pending in revenue courts, and instructed officers to accelerate disposal while ensuring procedural correctness. Emphasising issues that directly affect the daily lives of citizens, farmers, and property owners, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to reduce pendency in mutation and demarcation cases, expedite document registration, and ensure error-free, reliable, and updated land records.
To strengthen transparency and accountability, officers were directed to make effective use of technology, reinforce field-level monitoring, and ensure prompt resolution of IT-related issues affecting service delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner said that good governance is reflected in timely service delivery and citizen satisfaction, and any avoidable delay or lapse in revenue services will be viewed seriously.
