Trials for Residential Girls’ Wrestling Sports Academy to be Held on February 25 at CR Stadium: DC Sachin Gupta
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that a Residential Sports Academy for Girls (Wrestling) is being operated at the Sir Chhotu Ram Stadium. Trials for selection of girl wrestlers in the 12 to 19 years age group will be conducted on February 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the stadium.

Rohtak, February 17, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Sachin Gupta informed that a Residential Sports Academy for Girls (Wrestling) is being operated at the Sir Chhotu Ram Stadium. Trials for selection of girl wrestlers in the 12 to 19 years age group will be conducted on February 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the stadium.
The Deputy Commissioner said that selection for the Residential Wrestling Academy will be made through trials from among girls who have won medals or participated in recognised international and national competitions, as well as those who have secured medals at the state or district level. He encouraged all eligible and interested girl athletes to participate in the trials on the specified date, time, and venue.
He informed that participating athletes must bring the following mandatory documents at the time of trials:
• Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate
• Original and photocopy of Aadhaar Card
• Original and photocopy of Residence Certificate
• Two passport-size photographs
• Original certificate from the concerned educational institution or verified copy of admission/withdrawal certificate
The Deputy Commissioner further clarified that participation in the selection/trial process will be allowed only in proper sports kit. No more than two players will be selected in a single weight category. Selected players will be required to reside compulsorily in the academy. Boarding and lodging facilities will be provided by the department, while school commute expenses shall be borne by the player.
