Jalandhar, February 17, 2026: Lovely Professional University (LPU) participated in the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. LPU presented 15 AI driven projects developed by its students and research teams, focusing on practical applications across sectors such as education, agriculture, robotics, enterprise technology, accessibility, and health.

The summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, startups, and academic institutions to discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence in economic development, sustainability, and the future of work. LPU’s participation reflected its focus on applied AI research and student led innovation.

The university students exhibited projects spanning hardware design, enterprise platforms, digital collaboration, and assistive technologies. These included TheApplicable, a browser based electronics development platform; Genoma Space, an AI model building environment supporting no code and pro code workflows; Exanor, an AI enabled business management solution integrating finance and analytics; and Macbease, a digital platform designed to support academic collaboration and student communities.

Several projects addressed accessibility, health, and well being. MateZ AI is designed as a digital companion for mental wellbeing support across individual and organisational settings. EduBraille combines tactile hardware and gamified learning to support Braille literacy among visually impaired learners. FemoraAI, an AI based menstrual and wellness platform, integrates cycle tracking with personalised health insights and safety features to support women’s health awareness and self care.

Agriculture focused solutions included Dr. Kisaan, an AI based agribot for crop disease detection and targeted pesticide use; Agent Harvest, an autonomous drone system for precision spraying; and Krishika AI, a voice enabled advisory platform providing field analytics and localised farming guidance.

In robotics and advanced mobility, A.U.R.A., an autonomous underwater robotic assistant, demonstrated applications in inspection and navigation, while VRITRA, an AI enabled VTOL UAV platform, presented use cases in disaster response, mapping, surveillance, and logistics. Sahayak, an offline capable AI learning assistant, was also showcased as a tool to support personalised learning in low-connectivity classrooms.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, said “Artificial Intelligence should contribute not only to economic growth but also to equity and sustainability. Platforms such as the India AI Impact Summit enable collaboration and global exposure for researchers and student innovators”

With over 250 incubated startups and more than 2,900 patents granted, LPU has built a growing ecosystem for research and innovation. Through participation in national and international innovation forums, LPU continues to engage with academic, industry, and startup ecosystems working on AI enabled solutions across sectors.
