Crossbanding- An interactive causerie held at PCTE

Ludhiana, July 21, 2017: In an effort to help each other as academicians, an interactive session with various Principals of schools was organized at PCTE Group of Institutes. Around 25 Principals from various schools namely DAV – BRS Nagar, Sat Paul Mittal School, GNPS, Partap Public School, BCM Arya Model Sr. Sec School, Guru Nanak Public School, BCM – Dugri, Nankana Sahib Public School, Budding Brains International School and many others were present on the occasion. The day included Employee and student Engagement and helped Principal identify between engaged and disengaged employees and how to motivate the latter. A lot of emphasis was laid on how students in the name of discipline are contained in an unhealthy environment and not allowed free and healthy participation in the class. There was also a culminating session on understanding and empowering Self, based on understanding of Upanishads and Vedanta. The workshop was nearly a day long event, where it provides leaders of academician a unique opportunity to grow. This was the culmination of one year of Crossbanding, which had begun at PCTE itself last May. While most sessions in schools allow growth for faculty members, it is only during such rare sessions, when Principals themselves get to hone their skills, said Dr. K N S Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes. He said, “Well, we felt that such sessions are need of the hour as it includes highly intellectual people, sitting under one roof and having fruitful talks on various academic issues. These talks enhance one’s power of thinking and analyzing of education system and end on positive notes with effective ways of overcoming the loopholes.”
