CRIME: 8 booked in murder over land dispute

Ferozepur, December 9, 2012:  The police have booked eight persons in murder case of Ajay Kumar also called as Raj Kumar, over land dispute on Saturday at village Nanari Khokhar (Golu Ka Maur).

As per the sources, Ram Krishan son of Machhi Ram of Mohan Ke Hittar in his statement to the police has stated that he had a land at village Nanari Khokhar and he alongwith his son and Harbhagwan and Ajay Kumar son of Guraditta Ram were watering the wheat fields at about 12.30 pm.  He added his brother Sham Lal, whose land is also adjoining to his land, had a land dispute.  In the meantime, Resham Lal alongwith few persons who had brought with them sticks, sharp and rifles, started threatening Raj Kumar not to support Sham Lal and they tried to slip away from there when Tilak Raj shouted to stop and fired 4-5 rounds from his licensed rifle and fled away from the scene.  He further added they took the body of Ajay Kumar to the hospital where he was declared as brought dead.

On the statement of Ram Kirshan, the police have registered a case against Resham La, Sat Pal, Mangat Ram, Manohar Lal, Tilka Raj, Vikas Kumar, Raj Kumar, Safi Ram under Sections 302, 148, 336 IPC and under Arms Act 25, 2, 6, 54 and 59 and started further proceedings into the case.

After the post mortem, the dead body of Ajay Kumar was handed over to the legal heirs for performing the cremation.
