CPI decries stance of Sushma Swaraj on Israeli bombardment on civilian population in Gaza

Ludhiana, July 22, 2014: The Communist Party of India, Ludhiana district unit has decried the stance of Union Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on the Israeli bombardment on civilian population in Gaza which has killed hundreds of innocent people including children.
“Worse is that Israel is threatening to continue such strikes. India has since the beginning supported the right of the Palestinian people on their land”, said Kartar Singh Bowani, Secretary, Dr Arun Mitra and D P Maur, Assistant Secretaries of the party, in a statement here today, adding “We cannot equate our relations with Israel and Palestine since former is an aggressor and latter freedom fighter.”  
They added it is a well known fact that Israel has full support of the US.  Ironically India purchases large amount of armaments from Israel. That money is now being used against the Palestinians, they said. // ludhiana news, punjab news, india news,
