Hyderabad, November 22, 2016: Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE) organized its 12th Formation Day here in city today at FTAPCCI in Red Hills. The Formation Day lecture -"Promoting Entrepreneurship for Development" was organised to commemorate the occasion.

Mr.M.Gopalakrishna, IAS(Retd), delivered the address on the same. Mr.K.Srinivas Rao, Zonal Head of NSIC graced as the Chief Guest.

Delivering his talk on-"Promoting Entrepreneurship for Development" Gopalakrishna said, Entrepreneurs need vision, followed by mission, that should be followed by action, to sustain action they need passion which should be accompanied with dispassion and compassion.

K. Srinivasa Rao informed that NSIC has FFC-Financial Facilitation Scheme where they act as single point access to various banks. They are associated with 40 banks so that entrepreneurs can apply just here instead of applying loan at various banks, he Informed.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Rao, suggested a course where younger women should be given training in life skills like cooking, rangoli, maintaining relationships with in-laws, take care of kids,self defence and basic laws etc.

According to Ms. Geeta Goti, National President of COWE India, an Awareness program on NSIC National and International Schemes for MSME held.

We are aiming to Start Kitchen Incubator if government supports said Geeta Goti. We are implementing this year Entrepreneurial Development Programs in rural areas.

COWE is rated as "Gold" BMO(Business Member Organisation) by NABET(National Accreditation Board for Education & Training). This proves that COWE follows good governance, Geeta added.

COWE began its journey in 2004. It is one of the leading Women Business Associations which is assisting the women in all aspects to choose business as their main activity for all age groups. Now we are very proud of its achievements. It’s vision is to be a national association of women business owners that propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power.

It’s Mission is to promote affiliations and spread COWE activities across India. Also to create centers of excellence for women to gain knowledge, develop skills, provide infrastructure, access to resources and promote marketing avenues to further their business.

It’s primary aim is to inculcate entrepreneurship culture among young women. Shape their ideas into workable models of business.

It presently has 750 members comprising of Entrepreneurs from diverse fields and is recognized by the State and Central Government as an Association representing Women Owned Businesses.

COWE has launched 8 Chapters across the states of Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Karnataka, UttaraKhand, Uttar Pradesh,Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan,West Bengal.
