Under Construction 66 New Sewa Kendras At Cost Of Rs 8 Crore In Kapurthala District.
Kapurthala, April 22, 2015: With a view to provide various government services under one roof that too at their door steps, construction of 66 Sewa Kendras at the cost of Rs. 8 crore is on full swing in Kapurthala district. Disclosing this here today, DS Mangat, Deputy Commissioner further informed that the 65-70 percent construction work has been completed and these would start function in next few months.
Mangat informed that four Suwidha Kendras were already working at Phagwara, Bhullath, Sultanpur Lodhi and Kapurthala. He said that out of 66 sewa kendras 54 and 12 were being set up in rural and urban areas respectively. Out of these 12 would be of type -2 and 54 would be of type -3.
The Deputy Commissioner said that with setting up of these sewa kendras the rural populace would now get these services almost at their door steps thereby saving their precious time. He said that one sewa Kendra would cover 8-10 villages and people would get all services being provided in sub divisional suwidha kendras.
