Ludhiana, June 2, 2018: All India Ophthalmological Society, Academic & Research Committee in association with International Council of Ophthalmology and Ludhiana Ophthalmological Society organized ‘Teachers in Ophthalmology’ in Auditorium of DMC College Campus. The conference was inaugurated by Chief Cardiologist of Hero DMC Heart Institute-Dr GS Wader along with Dr Anil Chauhan and Dr SP Singh from BFUHS, Faridkot. Also present on the inaugural ceremony was Dean Academics, DMCH-Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina.

Dr Priyanka Arora (Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at DMCH) extended warm welcome to all the distinguished speakers and the participating delegates. Dr GS Bajwa (Professor & Head of Ophthalmology, DMCH) said that the field of Ophthalmology is ever changing and it is the need of the hour to conduct CMEs and conferences at regular intervals to update the knowledge of ophthalmologists in the respective field.

The scientific endeavor of this programme is to facilitate an interaction amongst honored Teachers in Ophthalmology, who are the torch bearers to our next generation, said Dr Bajwa

The speakers who delivered lectures include Dr Rajoo Singh Chhina, Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dr Anju Grewal, Dr Hemlata, Dr Pooja Tandon, Dr Anu Sharma, Dr Ashvind Bawa, Dr Harpal Selhi and Dr Anil Chauhan

The conference got concluded on a very good note with all the participating delegates discussing on the subject of using present-day technology in the best possible manner.
