On this occasion, employees of State Bank of Patiala attended the felicitation function held at State Bank of Patiala, Zonal Office, Miller Ganj, Ludhiana. Sh.Babu Khan, Deputy General Manager, Ludhiana Zone congratulated Com. Naresh Gaur and employees on this achievement. While addressing the employees, Com. Ashok Malhan, Vice President, All India State Bank of Patiala Employees Federation congratulated all the employees on the elevation of Com. Naresh Gaur, Secretary, All India State Bank of Patiala Employees Federation as Secretary, SSBEA. Com. Naresh Gaur who joined the bank on 1st January 1986 is serving in various capacities in our organisation. We hope that with this elevation, he will play a positive and constructive role among the Associate Banks as well as in protecting rights of our rank and file. We wish him all the best.
While addressing the bank employees on this occasion, Com. Naresh Gaur said that the Conference of State Sector Bank Employees Association held in Chandigarh on 23rd & 24th April 2016. It was attended by employees of Associate Banks from all over the country in a large number. In the coming days, we main focus will be – Make Banking a fundamental right, Strengthen Public Sector banks to strengthen national economy, Do not privatise PSBs, Give adequate capital to PSBs, Take stringent measures to recover bad loans in Banks, Declare wilful default of banks loan as criminal office, Publish the list of bank loan defaulters and other issues.
A call to observe National General Strike on 2nd September 2016 against the continued anti-labour polices of the Central Government and their proposals of anti-worker reforms. All India Bank Employees Association will be demanding a) Rate of interest on Savings to be increased b) Agri. Sector to be financed at lower rate of interest. The Public Sector Banks in our country have huge amount of deposits of common man but the rate of interest given on these deposits is negligible. From AIBEA, we strongly demand to increase rate of interest on these deposits. The farmers in our country are suffering from drought and financing to them is also not upto their satisfaction and also on higher rate of interest. Looking to the problems being faced by the farmers, from AIBEA, we demand to make finance available to the farmers easy and also at the lower rate of interest enabling them to survive as we see that most of them are committing suicides failing to overcome their difficulties.
Com. Jagan Nath Makhija, Organising Secretary, Com. Narkesar Rai, Regional Secretary, Com. Rahul Khanna, CC Member and Com. Parveen Moudgil, Senior Vice President State Bank of Patiala.
