Ludhiana, March 4, 2017: Dr.Dinesh Badyal, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana has been nominated as member of Reconciliation Board of the Medical Council of India (MCI). Dr.Badyal, has been involved in faculty development programs of MCI and the institute has trained more than 1000 doctors in medical education. He has got training in medical education at various places including Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), Philadelphia, USA; Keele University, UK; South Africa; Singapore and MCI. He has been invited as faculty in International medical education programs in USA, UK, Nepal, South Africa and China. He is Joint Chief Editor of Indian Journal of Pharmacology (IJP) and also recently edited a supplement of IJP on medical education.
Dr. Badyal is already a recipient of prestigious Prof. G. Achari oration at Annual conference of Indian Pharmacological Society held at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh in 2016; prestigious “Rajiv Gandhi Gold Medal Award” by Global Economic Progress & Research Association (GEPRA) in 2015; “International Fellowship in Medical Education (IFME)” in 2014 and “M. L. Gupta Award” in Medical Education and Technology by Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India in 2012. Dr. Badyal is Program Co-Director of CMCL-FAIMER Regional Institute and Co-convener of MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development at CMC, Ludhiana. Dr. Badyal has been very actively working in the area of pharmacology education for more than 20 years and was selected as Co-Chair & Member of the Subcommittee for Development of Clinical Pharmacology in Emerging Countries for the International Union of Pharmacology (IUPHAR). He is author of more than 70 articles, 2 books and contributed chapters in many other books.
