Ludhiana, August 24, 2018: One day Seminar on “Good HR Practices for SMEs” was organised by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings at CICU Commercial Complex, Ludhiana. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President CICU in the opening remarks said that Good HR Practices is a planned approach to managing people effectively for better performance. He further said that it is increasingly acknowledged that HR Practices is critical to competitive success, especially for SMEs, because SME's contribute over 55 percent of GDP and 65 percent of total employment in high-income countries. SMEs have unique characteristics; therefore these have specific human resource (HR) implications. The role of Human Resource is changing very fast due to change in technology and global competition so it is very important to apply and practise Good HR Practices in SMEs for their sustainable business growth. This interactive and thought provoking program was conducted by Jasmeet Nagpal, a seasoned HR professional with an experience of over 23 Years in the areas of HRD/HRM, as consultant in many leading industries.
