CICU Organised Industrial Interaction with Principal Secretary

Ludhiana, February 8, 2013: An Industrial Interaction was held at CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana with Karan Avtar Singh, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Punjab, to solve the problems being faced by all types of industries.

Karan Avtar Singh said that the industry is a great revenue and employment generator. He requested the industrialists for providing inputs and suggestions for the forthcoming Punjab State New Industrial Policy to be announced shortly.

He assured to display support and assistance available from the State / Central Government for the growth and development of industry on website of Industrial Department. He said a follow up meeting regarding all the issues raised in the Memorandum will be held on March 13 at CICU Complex, Focal Point Ludhiana.

In his address, Avtar Singh, General Secretary, CICU welcomed Karan Avtar Singh, R.K Verma, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana , K.L Sharma ,Chief Engineer PSPCL Ludhiana, other dignitaries and leading industrialists for this interaction. He presented memorandum to Karan Avtar Singh, highlighting, development of new world class Focal Point near Ludhiana, Skill Development Scheme to be Popularised, Obtaining Change of Land Use (CLU) Certificate to be simplified, approval for shifting small zinc and electroplating units and setting up electroplating cluster and its Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Ludhiana, introducing online VAT refund and waiver of submission of zoning certificate from PSIEC required for granting approval for factory inspection map by Director of Factories, Punjab.

Upkar Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU presented memorandum to Karan Avtar Singh, highlighting, waiver of SAC approval for Enhancement of Power Load for existing industrial units, waiver of submission of approved building plan in designated industrial areas, providing separate parking for trucks and heavy vehicles in Focal Point Ludhiana, exempting New industrial units in Designated Industrial Areas marked in Master Plan Ludhiana for obtaining NOC from District Town Planner and transfer of jurisdiction and administrative control of Phase I to III of Focal Point, Ludhiana from GLADA to PSIEC.

This meeting was attended by chairmen, presidents of various associations and leading industrialists such as Manjit Singh Khalsa, S.C Rahlon, Bhushan Maini, T.R Mishra, Gurmeet Singh Kular, Tejwinder Singh, Suresh Chaudhary, Phuman Singh, Manjit Singh, Ram Lubhaya, Narinder Miglani, Mohan Singh, S.K Lakra, M.L Syal, Jaspal Singh and others.
