CICU, Ludhiana formed Manufacturing Excellence Committee for the development of industries, an Interaction Meeting with the members of this Committee being held at CICU, Focal Point, Ludhiana on Friday.

Ludhiana: Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana has formed Manufacturing Excellence Committee for the development of industries.
An Interaction Meeting with the members of this Committee was held at CICU, Focal Point, Ludhiana on Friday. It was chaired by Avtar Singh, President of Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings. The purpose of this meeting was to make aware the Industrialist about the need of the new developments required to compete in the International Markets.
Avtar Singh President of CICU while welcoming the industrialist emphasizes that we should make efforts to develop New Designs and Machinery for which schemes are available from Ministry of MSME. He further said that chamber is organising various Seminars for the upliftment of MSMEs.
Upkar singh Ahuja, General Secretary of CICU said there is a need for Low Cost Automation which can be achieved through Development and by changing the prevailing processes of manufacturing. He also explained the activities of chamber for the development of various Industrial sectors. He also informed about skilling manpower through the Skill development Centre being run by Chamber.
CICU also nominated Tarlochan Singh as chairman, Sushil Kumar as Vice chairman and Ranjit singh noble as convene of said committee.
Tarlochan Singh, Chairman of the Manufacturing Excellence Committee said that it is the time for Industries to get benefit by joining together and to share vies with the other members. He thanked the CICU for this initiative which will prove a mile stone in the coming period.
Mukhinder Singh from Phagwara said that there a need to develop interchangeable Parts of the Machines. H.S.Saggu who came from Mohali said R&D facilities are required to develop new designs.
In the meeting, Vipan Mittal, Ratandeep Singh, Jagtar Singh, Harvinder Singh, Gurmail Singh Kamaljeet Singh, N.P.Singh, Harjot Singh, Mandeep Kalra, Ranjit Singh, Sushil Kumar and S.S.Bedi former Assistant Director MSME were present to share their views.
