CICU ENVIRONMENT IMPROVEMENT (GREEN MANUFACTURING) COMMITTEE FORMED

Ludhiana, December 25, 2018: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) held its first Environment Improvement (Green Manufacturing) Committee meeting with Members of the Committee to discuss various issues related to How to control Pollution, Water Saving,Cleaning of Bhudha Nullah and other issues. S.Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, said that CICU has formed 5 Member core Environment Committee, in which the members of the committee are working for how to save water from domestic use as well as from the Industry. CICU is involved with “PANI MERA HANI” initiative taken by the SAMBHAV. He further said that in Ludhiana approximately 60 crore liters per day water is being used by the House holds and Industry. Out of it Approximately 20 crore Liters water is being wasted. CICU will hold programs on Water Saving for foremen, Plant Holder, Electroplating Industry, Households and Dying Industry and A LAB will be established for effluent testing. Sh. Jatinder Pal Singh Manchanda, Convener of this committee said that the Social networking like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and many more apps will used to aware the people by making their own videos and new ideas on water saving. Sh. S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU said that the main objective to form the committee is to aware the people for water saving. CICU will also make a formal video on Do’s & Don’t for Water Saving. The Advisors of the Committee are Sh. Latit Jain, Sh. Rajat Sood, Sh. Naresh Bansal and Sh. Rajan Kundra. They also gave many idea and suggestions for water saving. The meeting was attend by more than 20 members by namely S/Sh. Rajesh Arora, Gautam Malhotra, Rajinder Kumar, Hardayal Singh, Surinder Singh, Harneet Singh and Ms. Navleen Kaur.
