Ludhiana, February 11, 2017: Sh.Avtar Singh President & Sh.Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, CICU in the joint Statement said that Country Level Second Prize has been won by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana in the award function held at India International Centre, New Delhi on 10th Feb’2017.The 3rd Annual Award Function by Responsible Indian BMOs was Organised by Foundation for MSME Clusters. They further said that Chamber has been also accredited as ‘SILVER standard’ at ‘National Level’ by 6th BMO AC Committee of Quality Council of India-NABET.

The Award Ceremony was inaugurated by Sh. Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. The presentation on the activities and support to industry of the Chamber was presented by Sh. S.S Bedi, Assistant Director (Retd.), MSME who is working as an advisor in the Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings, Ludhiana.

The Awards were selected on pan India basis by a panel of eminent jury members comprising Mr. S.K. Tuteja, Chairperson of Jury and Former Secretary, Ministry of SSI, Mr. Viraf Mehta, CSR expert and other prominent/distinguished Experts from Terry and other Organizations.

The Awards were presented by Sh. K.K Jalan, Secretary, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. Sh. Jalan expressed the role of BMOs for the sustainable development of the MSME. The award was received by Sh. S.S Bedi, Advisor of CICU and Sh. Kuldeep Sehgal, Dy. Office Superintendent on behalf of the Chamber.

The unique distinction for sustainable BMOs called “Responsible Indian BMOs” amongst over 1500 participants won by CICU is a recognition of outstanding work done by the Team of CICU for the growth and development of Punjab industry particularly MSME sector. In lieu of the contributions towards the MSME sector, Chamber has been recognized 2nd at Country Level. It is all due to the developmental professional, legendary strategist, credible and responsible industrial personality and approach amongst the MSMEs.

The Award winning is a motivation and moral boosting for the Members of the Chamber. Both of them have assured to keep marching ahead with greater dedication, determination, hard work, devotion and contribution to industrial development in Punjab by the support of their Members.
