Cheema Asks Corporates To Become Part Of Educate India Mission

Chandigarh, August 26, 2015: The Punjab Education Minister Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema today gave a call to honchos of corporate world to become equal partner in ‘Mission Educate India’ to ensure golden and literate future for our country.
Presiding over a Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility organized at CII today, Dr.Cheema said that it was imperative for corporate to educate the young India to ensure future human resource backup for their industrial and corporate units.  He said that until and unless corporate India does not become partner in education process and involves itself in molding the education system according to the corporate needs, country cannot be hope for sustained 9% industrial growth.
Giving a call to corporate world to adopt primary schools, Dr. Cheema said that it was the responsibility of corporate world to strengthen the literacy base of the country to sustained availability of educated and skilled manpower for their future industrial growth.  He said that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal has already worked out a plan to train over 1 lakh youth under skill development program he has chairman of sub-committee of Nitti Ayog is working on long term solution for skill development of our youth to make them employment and industrial houses should become partner in this upcoming skill revolution in India.
