Chandigarh Management Association organises seminar on Capital Market

Chandigarh, January 24, 2015: Chandigarh Management Association in Collaboration with Citizen Awareness Group and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) organised a seminar on Capital Market Awareness at PHD Chamber, sector-31, Chandigarh.  Rajeev Garg, Deputy General Manager (DGM), BSE was the Chief Guest and Key note Speaker; Mr Surinder Verma, Chairman, Citizen Awareness Group was the Guests of Honor. Dr.Anshu Kataria, President, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event.

Rajeev Garg, DGM, BSE simplified the concept of financial market to the audience. He explained the importance and impact of factors like Inflation, Industrial Output and Foreign Investments on the Stock Markets. He further reviewed the Current Scenario in the aftermath of the downtrend in the financial markets. Various aspects of Stock Market including investment strategies, market trends and the structure of the growth trend was shared, helping an individual take informed investment decision.

He further added that challenges posed by inflation & how one can plan their Investments accordingly. Finally, he discussed the importance of regular & systematic investments in Stock Markets with a diverse portfolio, in order to create wealth & achieve long term benefits.

Surinder Verma, Chairman, Citizen Awareness Group while throwing light on the topic said, “As our markets evolve, a growing number of investors are looking at adding options to their investment portfolios. We believe that increasing awareness of the benefits of investment opportunities through training and education is a critical responsibility in our efforts to grow our markets.”

Concluding the seminar president, CMA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Dr. Anshu Kataria extended Vote of thanks to all the speakers, for sharing their valuable thoughts. He further appreciated the initiative taken to contribute towards Capital Investor Awareness.
