Career Counselling Seminar at HMV

Jalandhar, February 8, 2016: A seminar on Career Counselling was organised by HMV Collegiate Sr.Sec.School for the students of SSC I and SSC II. On this occasion, Principal Dr.Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj motivated students to plan a future with a positive outlook. She inspired them to prepare themselves for future problems and the seminar will arm them with all the needed details. The event was administered by the professors of the college and collegiate school who shared their experiences. Mrs.Renuka Bhatti of Science Department explained about the possibilities in sciences. Dr. Jasbir Rishi, HOD Psychology gave information about careers in Arts. Dr. Jasbir Rishi enlightened that students should aim for holistic growth. She explained that skilled courses help in skill employment. Furthermore, Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur talked about the workings of Business and Commerce industries and its future. Mrs. Binoo Gupta told about students who are working in Dubai, SEBI and PCS. Dr. Seema Khanna talked about the career counseling cell and how it is helping students find better job opportunities. The Incharge for the seminar was Mrs. Sunita Dhawan of HMV collegiate Sr. Sec. School. Moreover, Dr. Anjana Bhatia conducted the stage and described about the skilled courses available at college like B.Sc. Fashion Designing and multimedia etc. The students also shared their opinions and experiences about job opportunities. Amrit Kaur, Gursirat Kaur, Rajwinder, Vaishali, Rekha and Navjot told students of how they could plan their studies. Dean Academics Mrs. Meenakshi Syal was also present there.
