Dr. Sucharita, Principal along with Winners of Caption Writing Competition.
Jalandhar, July 21, 2015: The Dept of English of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised a Caption Contest on Monday in which 40 students participated. The students were shown two pictures which they were supposed to caption in less than 10 words per caption. The competition tested the creativity and ingenuity of the students. The pictures were thought provoking and tested the sensitivity of the students on issues of memories of childhood and cultural heritage of India. Dr. Sunit, Head, Department of English addressed the students and extended her views that such events are helpful for students to explore their creativity.
Principal, Dr. Sucharita gave the first prize to Kritika Khera of BFA Semester I, second to Bhavika and Aakriti of B.D. Semester I and third to Riya Chopra of B.D. Semester I. She appreciated the efforts of the department in coming up with such an innovative idea to help give wings to the students’ imagination. She congratulated the event organizer Asst. Prof. Ms. Aastha for successfully conducting the programme.
