Chandigarh, October 21, 2016: October is a significant month for women living with breast cancer. The month, is fondly described as ‘Pink October’ & is celebrated all over the world as Breast cancer awareness month . To mark Pink October in Chandigarh a unique event titled Pink Catwalk was organized at Hotel Hyatt. Renowned Actor and Singer Dalip Tahil was the Celebrity Guest who supported the cause.

It’s was a fundraiser program that involved a fashion show and entertainment features to raise funds for supporting this noble cause. This was in aid of Cancer Sahyta Sahyog & was jointly organized by Pink chain of Hope, Hotel Hyatt, & British High Commission.”

The Program involved a high decibel fashion show with a special preview of Ludhiana based renowned designers Turquoise Uber styles-A label by Rachit Khanna- who showcased bridal and ethnic collections. Internationally renowned brand Marks and Spencer displayed their latest range of winter collection. And finally there was a round by Elcanes Fashion hub who showcased clothes for cancer survivors. Pink Chain of Hope was formed in the spring of 2015 when a group of citizens from Chandigarh got together to organize a charity Breast cancer awareness walk. This group involves women from different backgrounds-homemakers to business women to art lovers and philantropists and what they have in common is their desire to ensure the best for their community. Hence this group closely works with the Cancer Sahyta Sahyog and British High Commission to spread awareness for this noble cause.
