Ludhiana, March 22, 2015: A free medical and heart check up camp organised by Hero DMC Heart Institute today at two different Regions of Punjab in association with Sant Baba Fateh Singh ji Society in Moga and SSD Dharamshala Committee at Bathinda. Dr.G.S Wander Chief Cardiologist HDHI led the team of doctors and technicians which also included Dr. Rohit Tandon at District Moga, while Dr. Naved Aslam DM Cardiologist provided free consultation at Bathinda.
Large numbers of patients were presented in the camp to avail the benefits of the camp. Most of the patients in the camp are found to be Hypertensive and diabetic. Lack of awareness is believed to be root cause of the problem. That's why one need to have blood pressure checked by the doctor at least once a year, said Dr. G.S Wander.
Dr. Naved Aslam briefed about the cardiac diseases and made people aware from the causes of Heart diseases. The objective of this special camp was to raise awareness about Hypertension and Heart disease.
Dietary advises were given to the patients. Investigative tests like ECG, Blood Sugar were done free of cost along with the distribution of medicines to the patients in the camp. The doctors, nurses and technical staff who all supported and helped in organising these free medical camps were all felicitated at the successful conclusion of camp.
