Blind murder case solved by Ferozepur police

Ferozepur, December 9, 2014: Ferozepur police claimed to have cracked a blind murder case which took place few days ago in village Hardojang, near Makhu. Three persons named Sham Singh, resident of village Gatta Mundi, Gurbhej Singh, resident of Village Shekh Magga, Sharanjit Singh resident of Village Gulalipur, Tarn Taran were arrested by a Special Police team consisting Amarjit Singh Sandhu, SP (I), Hardev Singh Boparai, DSP, Zira, Gursharanjit Singh Sandhu, DSP (I).

On 30th November, a human carcass was found at Village Hardojang. The deceased was later identified as Mukhtiar Singh, resident of Village Chohlia. As per the information available, Mukhtiar Singh used to work as a farm labourer. On 30th November, he had received a call on his mobile number (94654-59195) from an anonymous number 89681-13528 and he was asked to come to village Naseerpur, Lohian Khas for some farming work. Mukhtiar Singh went there on his tractor (New Holland 3630) in the morning but didn’t return home.

The worried family members had lodged a complaint at Makhu Police Station. During the investigation, the police officials found his body. Besides his tractor (worth Rs. 8,50,000) was also missing.

After the thorough investigation, the police nabbed the three culprits and also recovered the weapon which was used to kill the innocent Mukhtiar Singh along with his tractor.  

Newly posted SSP of Ferozepur, Hardiyal Singh Maan, said the activities of the unscrupulous elements shall not be allowed in the district and very shortly the Ferozepur police shall initiate a special “anti-drug” drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers.
