Bharti Vidhyarthi Morcha Unit Punjab organising Punjab State first student convention at Ludhiana on Saturday.

Ludhiana, September 12, 2015: Bharti Vidhyarthi Morcha (BVM) Unit Punjab organised Punjab State first student convention on Saturday at Punjabi Bhawan Ludhiana, in which student from various colleges and universities of Punjab joined the convention and discussed various student issues like post Matric scholarship and the privatization of Educational institutes. Also, raised the voice for its solution.

Prof Vilas Kharat National In charge BVM proceeded over the function and enlightened the presence by sharing his views that after a long struggle SC/ST/OBC and minority students have gained the equal rights of education but now a days manuwadi forces indulging them again into the dark like the privatization of educational institutes is very much toxic. The post matric scholarship is the only weapon for the poor students, thus awareness regarding it is very much necessary.

During the convention Prof Harnek Singh State President BAMCEF Punjab and National President Ati Pichra Varg Sangh was the chief guest. He shared his views that saffronisation of education system is very much curious for the Bahujan Students; in this painful condition only National Level Mass agitation is the only solution for the unemployed students.

Dr Balkar Chand general sec BAMCEF Punjab expressed his mark able words on the issue of the dual stand of the govt about privatization of educational institutes along with development issues. He also raised the voice for the loot of poor students in the professional degrees in educational system. Prof Akshay Jilowa presented his key words on the hot topic for the day that Post Matric Scholarship, he explained the various problems coming to the students appearing for the post matric scholarship. He also touched the reasons behind the reservation in the educational systems.

Dr Prabhjot Kaur Bhatti put the light on the poor condition of female students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC families.

Nirmal Singh, President BVM Punjab and Punjab Agricultural University SC/BC Association also detailed the action taken against PAU regarding non implementation of reservation policy. The matter has been discussed in the board of management meeting of PAU held on September 9, 2015 as told by Dr. P K Khanna, Registrar, PAU, Ludhiana. The SC/ BC students of PAU looking forward positively for the proceedings of the meeting with the hope that reservation policy will be implemented soon by the PAU authorities. Presidents of various organizations present on the occasion assured to take this matter to national level. Jaspreet Singh Finance sec BVM Punjab lead the morcha in organising this convention alongwith Gaurav, Parminder Singh, Honeydeep Singh Bhatti, Sangeeta, Monica, Suman, Shilpa and Tejinder.

Krishan Kamboj President BVM Fazilka, Satyavaan, President BVM Haryana, Major Singh and Gagandeep Singh from GNDU Amritsar, Sarabjeet Singh SBS Nagar, Gurjinder Singh Jattpuri Ludhiana and Ranjeet Singh Jalandher were also during the convention. Young poets and writers also presented their songs and poems about the poor condition of the SC/ST/OBC families. Prizes were also distributed to meritorious students of SC/BC castes.
