Ludhiana, July 15, 2015: City-based Mr Badish Jindal has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of National Productivity Council of Government of India.
National Productivity Council works for enhancing the productivity in India. Its President is Smt Nirmala Sitharaman the Union Commerce Minister of India and its Chairman is Sh Amitav Kant Secretary Department of DIPP ( Ministry of Commerce).
There was only one post of Vice Chairman from the employers and the eligible candidates were as under; Sh. Rana Kapur ( CMD-Yes Bank) President – Assochem, Smt. Jyotsna Suri (CMD- Bharat Group of Hotels) President FICCI, Sh. U D Chaubey (Ex-CMD GAIL India Limited) Secretary General- Scope, Sh. T M Bhasin ( CMD- Punjab National Bank) Chairman- Indian Banks,s Association; Badish Jindal – Chairman FASII.
The elections were held in the 109th Governing Body meeting of the NPC.
All the five Employees’ associations BMS, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, AIUTUC supported Sh. Badish Jindal for this post.
The NPC is having 18 offices in India and having more than 500 best engineers of the world, there are more than 30 Local Productivity Councils working under the NPC.
The NPC is also working for ministry of MSME Ministry of Commerce BEE, DIPP, NMCC, Airport Authority, RINL, The NPC is also working of Zero Effect -Zero Defect.
The NPC is implementing the 350 lean manufacturing clusters in India, including 5 Bicycle Clusters.
The NPC is also working for the survey on Bicycle Industry. The survey has already been completed and the report is under consideration with the Ministry of Commerce for imposing restrictions on the Import of Bicycle parts.
The NPC is also a member of the Asian Productivity council and every month hundreds of trainees are sent to other Asian countries for training.
