Aryans Scholarship Counselling held at Aryans

Mohali, July 19, 2015: More than 150 students participated in “Aryans  Scholarship Counselling” organised by Aryans Group of Colleges at its Campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. Out of this, 13 students were selected for 50% scholarship and 3 students for 100% scholarship in various courses. The selection was done on merit cum means basis.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while giving this information said that under Dr Kiran Bedi Scholarship Scheme, Aryans decided to give scholarship to 25 meritorious students out of which 5 students would get 100% scholarship and 20 students would get 50% scholarship. He added that after today’s counseling, 2 seats are left for 100% scholarship and 7 seats are left for 50% Scholarship.
Dr Kataria further added that the students who have passed 10th, 12th and Graduation participated in the Counselling today and took admission in Professional courses like MBA, BBA, BCA, B.A., B.Tech 1st Year (Civil, Mechanical, CSE, EEE & ECE), B.Tech (LEET), B.Com,  Polytechnic, Nursing (GNM), +1, etc
Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that first of all the students participated in a special counseling session in which they were made aware about the eligibility criteria, subjects, fees, Career Prospects etc. of all the courses according to their qualification. Then Aryans experts handled the queries of the students. He further told that after that the eligible candidates participated in Scholarship Interviews and few meritorious students were given scholarship on the spot.
Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that there are various career options available to the students after completing 10th, 12th and Graduation. But students are not fully aware of all those options, due to which either they go by the choice of their friends or sometimes choose such courses which have less career prospects. He added that today Aryans tried to help these students by providing them proper counseling and students turned up with their parents.
