ARTIFICIAL LIMBS distribution camp held

A total 15 physically challenged persons who were distributed artificial limbs at the 16th free artificial limbs distribution camp held at Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar, Ludhiana on Tuesday. The camp was organised by Bhagwan Mahavir Sewa Sansthan, Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, March 12, 2013: A total 15 physically challenged persons were given artificial limbs at the 16th free artificial limbs distribution camp held at Viklang Sahayata Kender, Rishi Nagar, here on Tuesday.

The event was organised by Bhagwan Mahavir Sewa Sansthan, Ludhiana.

The inaugural ceremony was performed by renowned industrialist Shripal Jain Bihare Shah and his wife Sita Rani. On the occasion, they distributed artificial limbs to the needy people in the memory of their deceased son Sudhir Kumar Jain who had died on this day two years ago. Sudhir’s widow Ekta Jain, son Sumer Jain, daughter Sanika Jain were among those present.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sansthan’s president Rakesh Jain spoke about the function of the organisation so far. He revealed that the Sansthan had had so far distributed artificial limbs, wheel chairs, tricycles, arranged operations of the 1,200 polio affected persons besides distributing hearing aids in the last six years. The Sansthan had also distributed study material among the needy children, distributed ration free of cost and hold medical camps.

Among others, the Sansthan’s vice president Rajesh Jain, secretary Kuldip Jain, co-secretary Sunil Gupta and Sanjiv Bagla, organisers Dr. Pran Gupta and Rajnish Jain were present.
