Chandigarh, October 31, 2015: Three cases have been registered with regard to sacrileges in respect of Gurugranth Sahib in villages Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and Bargari, District Faridkot. FIR No.63 was registered on 2.6.2015 u/s 295 A/380 IPC at P.S.Baja Khana with regard to theft of Gurugranth Sahib and hurting religious feelings of people at village Burj Jawahar Singh wala. The second FIR No.117 was registered on 25.9.2015 u/s 295A IPC, P.S.Baja Khana with regard to pasting of Handbills showing disrespect to Gurugranth Sahib and hurting religious feelings of people at village Burj Jawahar Singh wala. The third FIR No.128 was registered on 12.10.2015 u/s 295/120 B IPC, P.S. Baja Khana with regard to Sacrilege of Gurugranth Sahib and throwing the pious Angs outside Gurudwara Sahib and in the street at village Bargari, which hurt the religious feelings of the people. The arrest of Jaswinder Singh and Rupinder Singh sons of S. Darshan Singh r/o village Panjgaraian Khurd, Distt.Moga has been made in case FIR No.128, dated 12.10.2015 relating to incident of Sacrilege at village Bargari in which Angs of Gurugranth Sahib were taken away by them and their associates from Dharna at Kotkapura from Palki Sahib which were recovered later on basis of their telephonic conversations. .The two brothers were arrested only in this case.
The investigation of other two cases relating to Theft and disrespect of Gurugranth Sahib and pasting of Handbills at village Burj Jawahar Singh wala and Bargari is going on separately. They have not been arrested in these two cases.
