Annual Training Camp of 2Pb(G) BN NCC Jalandhar culminates at KMV

Jalandhar, June 26, 2016: At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar 2Pb NCC (G) BN Jalandhar has been conducting its annual training camp since 17th June, 2016. The camp came to a fruitful conclusion, with the closing address of camp commandant Col. Atul Shah. He addressed the NCC girl cadets present on the occasion and emphasized that they should never feel that they belong to the weaker gender and that they need not tolerate any injustice simply because they are girls. He commanded them on their performance during the training and said that he was open to any suggestions regarding improving the training part. After the closing address, prizes won during several competitions held were given away be the camp commandant. Competitions were held in diverse fields like, firing drill, athletics, long jump, high jump, debate, drawing, general knowledge etc.
In addition the cultural competitions were in the fields of group song and dance, solo song and dance. The best items from the cultural competitions were honoured with prizes and also selected for performance during the cultural evening fiesta CATC 2016. During the cultural evening group commander Brigadier D.S. Tripathi was the Chief Guest and officiating Principal KMV Mrs. Seema Jain was the guest of honour. Brigadeir Tripathi congratulated the camp commandant on the successful culmination of the camp and appreciated the amount of talent shown by the girl cadets. He underlined the fact that each individual was God’s unique creation with unique unexplored talent which needs to be brought out. Officiating Principal KMV Mrs. Seema Jain congratulated the cadets for having put up such a wonderful show and wished them a bright future ahead.
