Khanna, April 3, 2015: Mata Ganga Khalsa College for Girls and Mata Ganga Khalsa Girls Collegiate Sen.Sec, School, Manji Sahib,  Kottan (Ludhiana)- under the management of SGPC Sri Amritsar,  hosted  Annual Prize Distribution 2014-15.  Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, O.S.D to Chief Minister Punjab, was the chief guest. Inderjit Singh Loppon and Raghbir Singh Saharanmajra also graced the occasion with their presence. Blessings of God were invoked with ‘Deh Shiva Bar Mohe Ehai’ and the Panjab University Anthem was also played.

Principal Dr. Jatinder Kaur welcomed the chief guest Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal and other prestigious personalities of the area. She welcomed the guests and read the Annual College Report 2015 and highlighted the glorious achievements of the students in various fields in University, Inter-university, State and National level. Over 250 prizes were awarded to the students in various academic, sports and co-curricular activities. Roll of Honour   was given to 15 students, College Colour to one and 27 students were given Award of Honour for their excellence in social, religious, and academic fields.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest   inspired the students to follow an optimistic way of life to achieve higher goals. He also inspired them to achieve higher education. He quoted various poets and philosophers to inspire them to become good human beings. She makes her life valuable by giving moral and ethical values to her family. He motivated them to follow the teachings of their religion and remove three evils from society like illiteracy, corruption and dowry. He asked the girls to take a pledge not to take dowry and resist against female foeticide.

Principal Dr.Jatinder Kaur while addressing the prize winners inspired them to follow the tenets of Sikhism and Rehat Maryada. Mementos were presented by the Principal Dr.Jatinder Kaur and others to the chief guest, Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal. At the end of the function, Principal Dr.Jatinder Kaur thanked the parents, guests and the students who had come to receive their prizes and she appreciated the efforts of the students in bringing laurels to the college. The function came to an end with the musical tones of ‘National Anthem’.
