Announcement for providing “government and private jobs” to youngsters to give up drugs after rehabilitation training cruel joke: Kalia

Jalandhar, July 10, 2018: BJP senior leader and former minister Punjab Mr Manoranjan Kalia said that announcement, by the Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr Bhram Mohindra, for providing “government and private jobs” to the youngsters to give up drugs after the rehabilitation training is a cruel joke with the youth of Punjab. In a statement here today, he added even after 15 months of its rule, the Congress government has failed to keep the election promise to the youth of Punjab of providing a Job in a family under the banner of "ghar ghar naukri". Mr Kalia called the decision of Capt Amarinder Singh Government as a "hasty & ill-conceived one without applying the mind". It will encourage the youth of Punjab who are not accustomed to drugs to adopt addiction route to get the jobs in the government. Mr Kalia further asked the Capt Amarinder Singh Government to chalk out a clear cut policy for tackling the menace of drugs by assimilating the cooperation of every strata of the society, instead of having piece-meal and knee-jerk action out of panic.
