Amritsar resident arrested in Himachal with charas/cannabis

Dharamshalsa, September 18, 2018: SP Chamba Dr Monika Bhutungru informed that today at about 12.40 p.m during the nakabandi by State Narcotics Crime Control/ Field Unit at Regional Transport Authority barrier at Tunuhatti on Pathankot- Dalhousie NH of Chamba District huge quantity of chararas /cannabis was recovered from a car. Dr Monika informed that at Tunuhatti 7-Kg and 56 gram charas/cannabis was recovered from the possession of Daleep Kumar of Amritsar. Daleep was coming from Banikhet to Pathankot in his car. On the basis of suspicion, the police during checking the vehicle recovered 7 Kg 56 gram charas/cannabis. He added a case has been registered at Police Station Chawari of the district under the NDPS Act against the accused. The vehicle was impounded. SP said that the further investigation is on.
