Alleged rape victim stages dharna at Bondli village

Khanna, March 17, 2015: Police personnel were seen deployed outside a college premises at Bondli village on Tuesday. On being contact, Ashwani, SHO, Samrala, said they had got a tip off that a woman could commit suicide there, therefore, they had deployed some police personnel there to avoid any untoward incident.

When contacted, the 28-year-old woman told the media persons that she was a rape victim. Narrating her tale she told that she was Graduate in Business Administration and a resident of Gurgaon. She said she was running from pillar to post for the last about three months to get justice. She told that she had arrived to sit on a dharna outside to seek justice.

She alleged that she was raped by the accused on the pretext of marriage. She claimed that the parents of the accused had managed to pacify the police that they would accept her as their daughter-in-law but their son was missing and they were searching for him. However, she said she was not ready to accept claim being made by parents of the accused that their son was “missing”.
