Union Minister Vijay Sampla taking up the issue civil airport at Adampur, near Jalandhar with Union Minister for Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Chandigarh, June 16, 2016: Moving a step closer to the reality of an airport for Doaba region at Adampur near Jalandhar, the Board of Airport Authority of India have given a formal approval for setting up of civil airport at Adampur. This was stated by Union Minister Vijay Sampla after meeting Union Minister for Civil Aviation P.Ashok Gajapathi Raju.
Sampla added that the Ministry of Civil Aviation will now formally write to Government of Punjab to fulfill the requirements which Punjab Govt has already assured.
Sampla later on met Dy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal and apprised him of the development. Sukhbir assured Sampla of fulfilling all the requirements as soon as they will receive official communication from the civil aviation ministry.
