ADDITIONAL DEPUTY COMMISSIONER (DEVELOPMENT) ISSUES DIRECTIONS DURING MEETING OF DISTRICT HEALTH SOCIETY

Ludhiana, September 12, 2018: The meeting of District Health Society was held under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Dr Shena Aggarwal in the Civil Surgeon office, here today. This meeting was attended by Civil Surgeon Dr Parvinder Pal Singh Sidhu, all programme officers, SMO’s and senior officials from other departments were present.

During the meeting, the progress of different programmes of the health department as well as other welfare schemes was reviewed. During the meeting, it was stated that the number of home deliveries should be reduced and people should be encouraged to get their deliveries done at nearby Health Centres. It was also stated that maximum benefit should be provided under Mahatma Gandhi Sarvodaya Yojana by ANM’s and Asha workers.
