Aam Aadmi Party holds a traffic awareness drive

Ludhiana, December 13, 2014: The Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana under its “Clean, Green and Healthy Ludhiana Project” headed by Col C.M Lakhanpal held a traffic awareness drive on Ferozepur Road this morning. Unmindful of the cold, hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party volunteers carrying placards about traffic rules could be seen near the Verka Milk Plant educating the passing commuters. With their signature caps, they were a centre of attraction and used this popularity to pass on safety messages.

According to Aam Aadmi Party Ludhiana Convener Ahbaab Grewal, “Thousands of people have accidents on Ludhiana roads every year, many of which prove fatal. If each citizen of this city vows to follow traffic rules sincerely, the number of these accidents can be reduced drastically and wasteful loss of lives prevented. So as a responsible member of society, it becomes our duty to make sure that each one of us knows the traffic rules and follows them sincerely.”

With colorful placards having slogans like “seat belts save lives” and “police wale ko to challan kaatne se rok loge, yamraj ko kaise rokoge”, the aam aadmi party volunteers made each commuter think about road safety.

Aam Aadmi Party volunteers said, “Even if one citizen of Ludhiana is able to avert a mishap keeping in mind our messages, we would feel that our campaign has been fruitful”.

The Clean and Green Ludhiana team will be holding many such campaigns all over the city in the coming future.
