92.7 BIG FM DELHI STRIKES #DILKITUNING WITH CROWD-SOURCED MUSIC ON WORLD MUSIC DAY

The radio station introduced listeners to unique musical instruments and their respective players and recorded a crowd-sourced BIG Anthem with its music

New Delhi, June 25, 2018: 92.7 BIG FM, one of India’s largest radio networks known for original music and clutter breaking content celebrated ‘World Music Day’ in a unique manner. The radio channel invited the talented musicians from across the city and created a crowd-sourced jingle titled ‘BIG Anthem’ to entertain the listeners with music in its raw form on the occasion of World Music Day. The ‘BIG Anthem’ is a melodious amalgamation of voice rendered by known singer Deeksha Toor and pieces of unique musical instruments played by the artists from the city.

Speaking on the occasion, BIG MJ Jassi said, “Music is very close to my heart and it has power to bring the communities together under one roof. It felt great to be connected with these talented musicians and hear stories how music became an important part of their life.”

Talking about his experience, Kunal Ji, said,” I have been playing accordion from the last six years and I am the only and first accordionist in Delhi. Music provides peace and brings unity among people. It feels good to be associated with 92.7 BIG FM for the occasion. I had a great time with MJ Jassi while recording the musical piece for BIG Anthem at the studio. ”

While representing that music has no boundaries, the jingle cum anthem talks about #DilkiTuning which connects with the hearts of Delhiites. The radio station brought forth the talented artists playing rare musical instruments and provided them the required platform to showcase their talent. Artists such as Madhusudan Srinivas - Harmonica player, Accordion - Kunal, Cajon (Cahun) - Sourav Pal and Piano player Shubham, interacted with MJ Nitin and MJ Jassi and played retro tunes of iconic music directors with the instruments. The videos from these sessions were featured on social media platform of 92.7 BIG FM and garnered positive traction from music enthusiasts and locals alike.

The musicians shared interesting facts about the unique musical instruments in a session with BIG MJ Jassi. Joining MJ Jassi in this music gala, MJ Khurafati Nitin too revealed the secrets that how and with which musical instruments he entertains his fans in the morning show.
