4th Skill oriented course to Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya

Jalandhar, June 7, 2015: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya got 4th skill oriented Course from UGC under Community College scheme. University Grants Commission has granted Advanced Diploma in Journalism and Media under community college scheme to HMV. Principal Dr Mrs. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj on Saturday told that college is already successfully running Advanced Diploma in Fashion Designing, B.Voc in Banking and Financial Services and B.Voc in Web Technology and Multimedia. This time UGC has granted another Advanced Diploma in Journalism and Media which is a 2 Years course. The eligibility of the course is +2 in any stream. She told that in this course after completion of first year, the student will get Diploma and after second year, advanced diploma will be given to her. The college has industry linkages for this course and skill component is more in the syllabus of advanced diploma. Job assurance is also there in this course because of skill component and industry linkages. The college is already offering Journalism and Video Production as vocational subjects at B.A. level. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj congratulated Dean Academics Mrs. Meenakshi Syal and all the staff members for this new course.
