Ludhiana, November 6, 2016: The second and concluding day of ‘CUTICON-2016’ conference was well attended by lot of participating delegates and distinguished guest speakers. The session today began with Post-Graduate Quiz followed by free paper presentation by PG Residents of Dermatology. The highlight of today was panel discussion on ‘Dilemmas of a young Dermatologist’. During the discussion, it was mentioned that Dermatology is one of the most highly competitive medical fields and requires many years of education and training. The field of Dermatology offers an interesting clinical and surgical career and is mainly an outpatient specialty. While the majority of dermatologists work as individual practitioner but some also choose to work in hospitals or in more academic settings. The moderator for panel discussion was Dr Mohan Singh from Jalandhar and the panelists include senior faculty members from reputed medical institutes of the country including Dr Vinay Shankar, Dr Sanjeev Handa,Dr Sunil Gupta and also Dr Vidushi and Dr Geetika Paul from Chandigarh.
Dr Vijay Zawar from Mumbai spoke on the topic ‘Clinical Pearls in Practice’ followed by lectures on ‘Management of Nail Psoriasis by Dr Iffat Hassan from Srinagar and ‘Non Facial Indications of Botulinumtoxin by Dr Rohit Batra from Delhi. Dr Kaushal Verma from AIIMS, Delhi enriched the audience about ‘Treatment of Recalcitrant Alopecia Areata’. Dr Onkar Swami from Mumbai informed the audience about ‘Recent MCI regulation and Guidelines’
The conference got concluded with a general body meeting and an impressive an impressive valedictory function
