41th Annual Convocation of GNDU on March 11

Amritsar, March 9, 2015 : Guru Nanak Dev University would confer Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa) degree upon Dr.Rattan Singh Jaggi, Life Fellow, Punjabi University, Patiala and Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) degree upon Dr. Bernhard Peter Jakob Blumich, Professor and Chair of Macromolecular Chemistry, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany keeping in view their contributions in their respective fields at its 41th Annual Convocation on March 11 in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the University.

Governor of Punjab and Chancellor of the University, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki would preside over this convocation. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ajaib Singh Brar on this occasion would welcome the Governor of Punjab and other dignitaries.

Medals and degrees in the field of Ph.D., M.Phil., M.Tech., LL.M., M.Sc., MBA, MBE, M.Com., M.A., B.Tech., B.Sc., LL.B., BCA, BBA, B.Com. and B.A. would be awarded to the scholars and meritorious students on this occasion.

 “After having earned the coveted titles like UPE & CPEPA, Guru Nanak Dev University does it again and earns high score of 3.51 from NAAC”. With this grade the only university in the north western Indian that has gone into 3rd cycle of accreditation and has scored this high rating and in this context has become the third best university in the country in the third cycle.
