Lt Gen BKN Chibber Ex Governor Punjab along with Lt. Col. B S Sandhu (Retd.) President, CIIS Educational Services Society, Dr Mila, Professor, Thompson River University, Canada and Brig (Retd) JK Jha, Executive Director give the degree of owner to the students, in the CGI campus at Fatehgarh Sahib on Friday.
Fatehgarh Sahib, March 20, 2015: Happy faces filled with new hopes for a flying start to a career in the corporate world lit the CGI campus. Giving wings to the dreams of students, over 400 degrees were awarded at the Annual Convocation Ceremony of Continental Group of Institutes held here today.
Chief Guest Lt Gen (Retd) BKN Chhiber, former Governor of Punjab and Lt Col (Retd) BS Sandhu, CMD, WWICS Group awarded the degrees and congratulated the students.
Brig (Retd) JK Jha, Executive Director, CGI said, “We are glad to welcome the honorable Chief Guest Lt Gen (Retd) BKN Chhiber, former Governor of Punjab and Lt Col (Retd) BS Sandhu and the parents and students at the Annual Convocation Ceremony. Our students have worked very hard for this day and I am glad that their hard work has paid off. Congratulations to all of you.”
Wishing the students luck, Lt Gen (Retd) BKN Chhiber said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be here today. It is a moment of pride and happiness for the students, who are the future of the country. Comprising mostly of the rural youth, CGI has done a commendable job by imparting quality education across Punjab. I wish you all luck for a bright future.”
250 Degree certificates were awarded to the graduate students of B.Tech and post graduate course MBA by Punjab Technical University (PTU). Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Principal, Continental Institute of Engineering and Technology congratulated all the degree awardees and also extended her heartiest thanks to all the guests and dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence.
150 degree certificates were awarded by Punjabi University, Patiala, to the graduate students of BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Com (Prof.), BA, B.Sc (FT) students of Continental College of Higher Studies.
Lt Col BS Sandhu, CMD, WWICS Group of Institutes, said, “I congratulate all the students and wish them luck for a bright future. CGI aims at imparting quality education to the rural youth of Punjab with various national and international programs.”
