We will raise each and every subject in assembly: Dhumal

Dharamshala, August 21, 2017: Leader of the Opposition and the ex-CM Himachal Pradesh Prof P K Dhumal has said that the Opposition is fully prepared to entangle from all sides in the coming four-day monsoon session starting on 22nd August at Shimla. He said that the state is totally in the grip of "mafia raj" of mining, forest, land and Corruption. “We will raise each and every subject in the assembly”, he said.

Before leaving for Shimla from his home town Hamirpur, the ex-CM said, "We are well prepared for this last assembly session of HP before elections slated for the year end.” He said the Congress-led state government shall be made answerable to each point in the session. The session of the Assembly is likely to be a stormy one as the BJP plans to raise several issues to corner the Congress government.

According to a senior BJP leader, the Kotkhai rape and murder case, death of a forest guard under mysterious circumstances, lathicharge on Gaddis at Dharamshala, deteriorating law and order situation and other issues would be raised by the party during the session.The four-day monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly will be held from August 22 where the government is expected to bring a Bill for setting up a medical university in the state.

This would be the last session of the current assembly as state elections are due in October or November this year. The Congress and opposition BJP Legislature finalising their strategies today in Shimla for the monsoon session.
