Viviana Mall celebrates Noise-Free Garba to curb noise pollution

Mumbai, September 23, 2017: Viviana Mall, the leading destination mall in Mumbai Metropolitan Region initiated a step towards making the festival noise free. The Garba was played in an eco-friendly manner using headphones in the mall. The songs and music played during the celebrations was heard only to those who are wearing the headphones provided by the mall.

Speaking on the development, Ms.Rima Pradhan, Senior Vice President, Marketing at Viviana Mall said, “In our society, people always tend to enjoy music at various places be it at home, pubs, cinemas etc. With our Idea of noise-free garba, our main objective was not only to create awareness about noise pollution, but also allow people to enjoy music and celebration without disturbing others. Apart from this Sr. Citizens, patients and pets have lower tolerance capacity when it comes to noise pollution levels; they often are the ones who bear the brunt of the loud celebrations. In our efforts to control pollution levels during the festive season, we have taken the initiative to celebrate silent Garba in our mall.”
