Five Kg heroin recovered from BoP DT Mal in Mamdot Block

Ferozepur, May 16, 2017:Within few days, heroin has been recovered from the fields of a farmer belonging to this border area in joint operation by the Special Task Force (STF) and BSF.
As per information available, following the inputs, a joint operation carried out by the STF and BSF troops belonging to 105 Battalion, five packets of Heroin weighing around one Kg each (Total 5 Kg.) were recovered from Border Out Post (BoP) Dona Telu Mal yesterday afternoon. As per the information available, the heroin, wrapped in yellow polythene, was buried in the fields of a farmer Tehal Singh son of Thakar Singh, a resident of Village Mabboke in Mamdot area in the alignment of border pillar number 195/ M, situated at the distance of 500 meters from International Border. Senior officials from the BSF and police including Deputy Superintendent (STF) IG Kuldeep Sharma coordinated this joint operation.
It is pertinent to mention here that even on 11th May, Two Kg.heroin was recovered during a joint operation by the STF and BSF from the fields of Tehal Singh while 500 gram heroin was recovered from the fields of another farmer Karnail Singh.
On this occasion, senior officials from the BSF and police including STF IG Balkar Singh were coordinating this joint operation.
