Ludhiana, October 10, 2012: in the senior section, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) defeated Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in the 8th All-India Guru Gobind Singh Gold Cup Hockey Tournament which concluded at Prithipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium at Punjab Agricultural University here today.
As per the details BPCL defeated IOC by 6-3.
In the junior section, Jarkhar Hockey Academy beat Kila Raipur by 8-2.
Deepak Thakur of IOC and Damanpreet of Jarkhar Academy were declared the Players of the Tournament in the senior and junior categories, respectively.
Mahal Singh Bhullar, former DGP, alongwith Pawan Kumar Tinu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports, Punjab, presided over the concluding function. They gave away the prizes to the winners.
