Ludhiana, April 23, 2017: The 3rd Annual Meeting of the Association of Neurosurgery of North West Zone and CME was organised by the Department of Neurosurgery at the Christian Medical College and Hospital Ludhiana under the guidance of Dr.Sarvpreet Singh Grewal, Professor and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, CMCH. Dr Abraham G Thomas, Director Christian Medical College and hospital was the chief guest and Dr William Bhatti, Medical Superintendent CMC and Hospital was the Guest of honor.
The conference was presided over by Dr.VK Khosla the President of the Association of Neurosurgeons of North West Zone, and Dr S.K Gupta Professor and Head, Department of Neurosurgery, PGI Chandigarh who is the Secretary of the association along with members of the association and many eminent Neurosurgeons and Resident doctors from the North West zone.
The sessions were taken by Senior Neurosurgeons and there were sessions for best paper and poster award for the trainee Neurosurgery Residents. Dr. Ashwani Grover from CMC and Hospital got the best resident paper award and best poster prize was given to Dr Sunil from PGIMER Chandigarh. Conference was attended by senior neurosurgeons from PGIMER Chandigarh, DMC and Hospital Ludhiana, PGIMER Rhotak, IGMC Shimla and Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar , Jammu and Kashmir, Jalandhar ,Patiala, Bathinda and various other places.
The Conference provided a great platform for educational and scientific experience for all the participating delegates and the residents and has enhanced scientific development in the field of Neurosurgery in Punjab and all the North West zone states of our country which will translate into better quality of Neurosurgical care for the patients.
