Chandigarh, December 5, 2012:All players of  Indian Men Kabaddi team have cleared the dope test. The officials of NADA have declared the result in this regard where as result of Women Indian Kabaddi team would be announced soon.

Disclosing this here today Sikander Singh Maluka, President of Punjab Kabaddi Association, said that 27 Indian Kabaddi players gave the samples for dope test. Out of which results of 25 players have been received and all these players successfully cleared this dope test. He further said that result of the remaining two players is yet to receive. Mr. Maluka said that this is reaffirmation of India’s resolve to keep games dope free. He further said that India has strictly implemented the conduction of dope test on every player who went through trails for getting entry to the Indian Kabaddi team.

Maluka said that to keep this 3rd World Cup Kabaddi 2012 totally dope free India has set example by deciding conducting compulsory dope test on all the players who are playing Kabaddi. He further said that results of Indian women Kabaddi players was awaited as soon as result is received from NADA it would be declared there and then. He said that the samples for these dope tests were taken before the commencement of this tournament and now samples for second dope test of the players would be taken during the matches so as to ensure the complete aloofness of the players from the drugs.
