A workshop on e-tickect reservation being held at GGNIMT, Ludhiana on Thursday.
Ludhiana, October 8, 2015: The computer Applications Department of Gujranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management & Technology (GGNIMT), Civil Lines organised an interactive workshop on “e-Railway Reservation” for the students of BCA here today.
Mrs.Japneet Kaur, Assistant Professor, GGNIMT was the resource person for the day. She initiated the interaction by explaining in detail the importance of railways in India. She highlighted the various terms associated with railways and guided the students about different types of tickets (e-ticket, i-ticket),reservation chart, Tatkal Quota and the different classes available.
Mrs. Japneet practically demonstrated e-ticket reservation and cancellation process. She also elaborated on various modes of payments such as debit cards, credit cards, net banking and cash cards.
The session concluded with the question –answer round where the students cleared all their doubts.
Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Co-ordinator, GGNIMT while talking to the media said “ IT has become indispensible in today’s life and every one should learn the basic IT skill to adjust to the dynamic IT environment. ”
Dr. Pritam Singh Khattra , Principal GGNIMT appreciated the resource person for deliberating on the topic with great details.
