Visit to Ludhiana Beverages Private Limited, Unit-II, Jaspalon Doraha

Ludhiana, September 12, 2016: A visit to Ludhiana Beverages Private Limited, Unit-II, Jaspalon Doraha was organised by the Department of Biotechnology, G.H.G.Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar.
The visit was a first- hand experience for the students wherein they got to see the automated execution of the various operations of the beverage making right from raw sugar syrup making through ready syrup formation to mixing with the concentrate and dilution to bottling.
Mr. Satinder Singh, Senior General Manager, Technical operations gave an exhaustive account of the working of the plant followed by an actual tour through it with a tour guide for every 10 students. The visit was an out and out success. The students got to learn about the instrumentation, the procedural details and materials needed. Along with this the concept of corporate social responsibility was also explained to them through the noble causes taken up by this industrial unit. The staff and the tour guides at the unit were cordial enough to address the queries of the students.
Director, Dr. Mrs. Thind and Principal Dr. Deol applauded the staff for giving students an industrial exposure which would inspire them to see entrepreneurship as another scope in Biotechnology.
