US Scientist Dr Kuldip Kumar Interacts With PAU Faculty And Students

Ludhiana, March 25, 2016: The Soils Club and Ludhiana Chapter of Indian Society of Soil Science hosted an interaction session of Dr Kuldip Kumar, Senior Environmental Soil Scientist, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, USA with the postgraduate students, research fellows and faculty of Department of Soil Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). Dr Kumar, an alumnus and formerly faculty of this university obtained his Ph.D. from Lincoln University, New Zealand. He has also worked for a long time at University of Minnesota and is an Editor of Journal of Environmental Quality and Associate Editor of Agronomy Journal.

The speaker briefed about his research interests and offered help of any kind to the students desirous of obtaining their higher degree from USA.

Dr Rajeev Sikka, President of Soils Club, conducted the proceedings and shared the memories of his long association with the speaker. The students and faculty had a lively interaction with the Dr Kumar.

Dr Babu Singh Brar, Head, Department of Soil Science sought Dr Kumar’s assistance in exploring avenues of collaboration in postgraduate research. He also expressed his deep sense of gratitude to the speaker for sharing his valuable time.
